The White Knight Theatre Company was founded in 2008 by the writer, actor and producer Alison Porter at the end of her MA course at the University of East Anglia. Working with Director Jemma Gross, Visual Artist Kate Hodges and a group of actors the company developed Alison's script for Late Bus, a black comedy about suicide which was performed at UEA Studio, Norwich and Camden Peoples Theatre in London. The team also worked with the mental health charity Mind to help them understand the issues around the core theme. Since 2008 new collaborators have worked with the company; dancer and choreographer Marie-Gabrielle Rotie, the actress Elizabeth Jee, design student Sophie Clayton from the London College of Fashion and the composer and musician Nick Parkin. |
